this time should be doing this

Hi this time I should do this

'Cricmanities' is the plural of 'Cricmanity', and can be read as the portmanteau of cricket and humanity. It could also be read as cricket and mania. The chief idea is to see how humans and their societies relate to cricket (and other popular sports).I have worked six long summers and winters researching sports cultures and I thought that it would do nobody any good, if most of my work is confined only to academic readers. After all competitive sports (apart from IPL) is a public affair and sport is the most dominant element of contemporary popular culture. The blog will contain criticism and commentary on play cultures across (some of the content might appear too boring, anatomically academic or very irrelevant). Since, I am the test match consuming fan, I think my blog has the right to test your patience after all everyone seems to be bent sharing their masochism with the world.. But I promise, it would carry book reviews, scanned images of rare pictures and links to interesting articles on sports. Hence, bear the dull passages of play for that superb delivery. After all aren't you, as every sports reporter on Television announced, waiting for Tendulkar's hundredth hundred long before Osama was killed or Obama was elected. In the next blog I argue we have been waiting for the dreaded hundredth hundred ever since, we Indians have been playing cricket. I will try to be as regular as I can with this blog. From your side do drop interesting news (critical histories, new books and articles) on sports cultures across. Kindly refrain from posting links to cricinfo.com, espn.com and other popular websites. I don't live under a rock, I am blogging which means I am part of the virtual world and am in position to access such websites. For God's sake every netizen maniacally follows them.

That is for now ladies and gentlemen, taking guard 'Middle and Leg Please'.
